Abstract
Globalization, driven by its rationalism and modernization, has generated strong backlash in the form of religious revitalizations. These religious forces are characterized by intransigence and active attitude. One of its most visible manifestations has been the use of violence and terrorist methods. So much so, that the twenty-first century terrorism is substantially impregnated by religious beliefs. Throughout the text relates the course of the most significant terrorist actions during the Globalization and highlights their commonalities.
