Abstract

The next December 29th will be met fifteen years of the Signing of Peace Accords in Guatemala. Still, the wave of violence afflicting the country in recent years and that plagues the region seems to become the most immediate reality, it turns in a region hard punished by daily acts that does not appear but persevere in the attitudes and events were experienced during the confrontation. The "culture of violence" developed during the years of armed conflict seems to have become the heritage of this country, hindering the development and social growth as well as investment and close relationships with other countries.
