Abstract
This article analyses argentine foreign relations on bioenergy during 2007 and 2008. To explain why the government priorized the export market over a regional development and a self sufficient energy policy, we described the role of international actors who stimulated policies on bioenergy, the international insertion of Argentina in this matter and the evolution of investments in the above mentioned sector. To examine these aspects, we use a set of primary documents as well as secondary evidence, which try to cast light on a strategic and controversial question for the energetic future of Argentina and the Region.
