Abstract

The proceeding article highlights certain aspects that one must consider at the moment of creating curricular innovation with emphasis on competences, especially within higher education. All this combined implies not only to take into consideration the design of the formative project but also the implementation and evaluation of the same.
In connection to this one pretends to think that any Academic Unit within higher education, could rely on the necessary knowledge to create an innovative curriculum with emphasis on competences whether it be for designing or redesigning a program, a major or specialty area.
For this reason, one begins with the identification of the formative needs and questions to the relevant protagonists to subsequently continue with the process analysis, creation of the graduate profile, the determination of the plan and the programs of study as well as the implementation process. Finally, one stipulates the form in which one must create the evaluation and feedback of the entire process.
